Progressive responsibility in the development, calculation, technical project execution and leadership of engineering activities for technically demanding exhaust and bypass damper systems for gas and steam turbine power plant applications.

• Designed and structurally calculated high-temperature valves and bypass systems as well as developed specialized calculation and simulation methods.
• Progressed from technical specialist to leadership responsibility for Engineering teams of up to eight employees.
• Standardized core Engineering processes and introduced structured knowledge and document management, modular product platforms and parametric 3D design.
• Managed international interfaces between Engineering, manufacturing in Asia, suppliers and customers and later assumed responsibility for international bypass-system projects.

Research Associate

Research in numerical simulation, structural mechanics and fatigue lifetime assessment of components subjected to high cyclic loads.

• Developed and validated numerical calculation methods for highly stressed shell structures.
• Planned and executed an independent research project within Collaborative Research Centre 398 “Life-Oriented Design Concepts”.
• Applied FEM simulations to assess structural loads and predict damage development and remaining service life.
• Published research results in scientific journals and presented findings at national and international conferences.
